Thanks for taking a moment to learn more about me. I have been working in the counselling field for more than 25 years supporting people with a person centred and trauma informed approach. I hold Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from City University. Most of my experience is working in a rural health care setting as a clinician and leader and I have also worked for Indigenous and Not for Profit organizations. My focus in counselling is to support you to reach your goals in a way that works for you.
I draw from many counselling modalities to taylor the right approach to each person. These include CBT, Mindfulness, Person Centred, Humanistic and Response Based approaches. I also have experience working with trauma exposed professionals.
One of the critical ingredients in your success in counselling is finding a counsellor who is a good fit for you. If you are curious about whether or not I’m a fit please feel free to book a 20 minute complimentary consult.
Many extended health benefits offer coverage for Registered Clinical Counselling. This is often listed in the “practitioner services’ section of your extended health benefits.
